Hello! I’m Pau, a personal trainer focused on helping others manage health challenges and recover from injuries through exercise.

How it all started

From a young age, sports were my strength. Academics didn’t come naturally to me, but on the court—especially in basketball—I excelled. As I grew older, my passion for sports only deepened, leading me to pursue a TAFE in exercise and become a trainer after high school.

There, I made an important discovery: sport and exercise, while related, aren’t the same. I learned how exercise has unique, far-reaching benefits for health, beyond just athletic performance. This realization inspired me to dive deeper, ultimately enrolling in university to earn my Bachelor’s in Sports Science, with a focus on the powerful effects exercise can have on managing health issues and chronic conditions.

Specialising in health

During my time at university, I became obsessed with health—partly because of a personal experience. After being diagnosed with an aortic valve condition, I discovered that training my cardiovascular system could help my heart function normally. Experiencing firsthand how exercise could support disease management became a catalyst for my career. I decided to specialize in exercise-based health management, diving into research to become an expert in the field.

I studied countless scientific papers, joined professional associations, subscribed to exercise journals, and read every book I could find (and still do!) to expand my knowledge. Since then my goal has always been to help others manage their health through exercise, just as I did for myself.
